Ryder Cup 2008 Results

The British Golf Club Hosted a Ryder Cup Style event at Roda Golf on the 26th and 27th of September.
40 players took part in the 2 day event, and even though the weather won the day a good time was had by all.
All the players enjoyed the complimentary golf balls, caps, towels, t-shirts and much more.
The 10th tee was a very popular place, it seems the complimentary food and drink was a big hit!

The match play style was adopted for this rain shortened 27 hole event.
Day 1 belonged to the Southern team, taking 15 points out of the 20 available.
 A disappointed Northern team rallyed after
only bagging 5 points, and came out guns blazing on Saturday.
Day 2 (Saturday) was a modified Stableford and with 5 bonus points up for grabs for best combined 
team score the event was still wide open.
In a complete turn around the Northern team won 12 of the 20 matchs with the Southern team taking 8 points.
This gave the Northern team hope and with a combined score of 237 beating the Southern team by only 3 points
the 5 bonus points went to the North.
However this was just not quite enough to over come the
 outstanding day the Southern team enjoyed on day 1.
Final score was Northern Team 22 points Southern Team 23 points
Congratulations to all players on the Southern team, and I'm sure the Nothern team will
be back next year looking for revenge.
